What is Tri-Sodium Phosphate?

Sodium phosphate is a sodium salt of phosphoric acid. It consists of sodium (3 Na +) and phosphate ions (PO43−).

What is sodium phosphate used for?

Phosphates are used as additives in detergents. They can reduce water hardness by forming complexes with polyvalent metal ions (Mg2 + etc.).
