Branders volgens DIN 30665 kunnen niet volledig worden uitgeschakeld. Een kleine vlam blijft branden, zelfs als het naaldventiel of de afsluitkraan zijn uitgeschakeld. De gasstroom wordt afgesloten door middel van de centrale afsluitkraan in het laboratorium.

Difference between DIN and basic models Laboratory burners are available in two types:

1. Laboratory burners according to DIN norm 30665

2. Laboratory burners basic model

The two versions differ as follows:

Burners according to DIN may not be switched off completely by usage of its control elements (e.g. needle valve or stop cock). This means that even if the control elements are turned off, a small flame remains burning. That way, the user is forced to stop the gas flow by means of the central stop cock in the laboratory.

Deviating rules and specifications may apply in other countries than Germany and need to be checked and considered by the distributing company.

Laboratory burners are not covered by the EU Directive relating to appliances burning gaseous fuels (2009/142/EG) and are therefore not bearing a CE marking.

Gas types and pressure ranges

All burners are available as natural or bottle/butane gas versions. They are to be used according to the following gas pressure ranges:

• Natural gas: 18,0 - 25,0 mbar
• Bottle gas/butane: 47,5 - 57,5 mbar

Use pressure regulators for gas bottles! Country specific gas pressure conditions may differ from German standards and need to be considered.
